Why do teeth fall out?

As you grow up, most parts of your body get bigger. But your teeth can't grow bigger, and so you have to change them.

When you are small, you have twenty small teeth called milk teeth. These start to fall out when you are five or six years old, to let new, bigger teeth grow in their place.

When you are grown up, you will have between 28 and 32 teeth.
